Nestled just outside Decatur, Texas, this 450-acre working cattle ranch boasts breathtaking 360-degree views and shares its borders with the LBJ National Grasslands. For three generations, the Warner family has nurtured this legacy ranch, and we’re deeply honored to be entrusted with continuing their tradition of exceptional guest experiences. We look forward to upholding the Ranch’s rich heritage and bringing your events to life in this stunning setting.
The Ranch is perfectly situated near the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and welcomes weddings, private and corporate events. With an outdoor chapel, covered pavilion, reception hall, and cocktail garden, the Ranch offers a variety of spaces ideal for hosting. Combined with Boxwood’s renowned flair for Southern Hospitality, the Ranch is an ideal space for events of all shapes and sizes! Seated event capacity caps off at 250 and standing capacity is 275 guests.
A bit of history…
“My grandfather bought the Ranch from the Vittitow Family in the 1970’s. They were one of the first ranches in the area to have Simmental Cattle and had made a name for the Ranch with the cattle auction barn, so my grandfather kept the name and also continued the auctions and cattle operations. Mr. Vittitow was a pilot- there is even a grass runway on the ranch that he used, so that is where the “Flying” comes from.”
