As we wrap up 2024, we’re in awe of what an extraordinary year it has been for Boxwood Hospitality. From designing, remodeling, and settling into our beautiful new office in the heart of the Design District — providing space for our growing team — to forging exciting new venue partnerships, launching Jazz Supper Club, and being featured in places we once only dreamed of, this year has been filled with remarkable growth and thrilling new ventures.
Reflecting after a busy year, we’re reminded of the core values that guide us. At every turn, our mission — to redefine the event experience through venues and hospitality rooted in transparency, simplicity, and respect — continues to shape everything we do. These principles are the foundation of our work and the driving force behind every event, every partnership and every connection we make.

The start of 2024 brought new digs for boxwood hospitality
After some serious renovation, a few different bathroom handles, and a bit of bourbon consumed - we settled into our new home in the Design District. For the first time ever, the entire Boxwood Hospitality team is united under one roof and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Featuring a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen and a private tasting room, our new space is perfectly designed to support our growing team and redefine the hospitality experience.

Boxwood experience.
Flying V Ranch
The Flying V Ranch has been in the Warner family for three generations. Following the untimely passing of their beloved husband and father, mother-and-daughter duo Sherry and Page transformed the ranch’s authentic barn and original homestead into a stunning venue, choosing to channel their energy into sharing this special place with others on the most meaningful days of their lives.
Nestled just outside Decatur, TX, this 450-acre working cattle ranch offers breathtaking 360-degree views and borders the serene LBJ National Grasslands—a true slice of Texas charm.
After a decade of managing event operations, the Warner family thoughtfully partnered with Boxwood Hospitality to uphold the ranch’s storied traditions and ensure every guest experience continues to be extraordinary.

THE OVERLOOK AT THE HEARD MUSEUM
Since 1967, the Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary has been connecting people with nature through engaging events, educational programs, and immersive experiences across its 289-acre nature preserve and museum. Our premier event space, The Overlook, offers breathtaking views of the preserve, creating the perfect setting for weddings, corporate gatherings, and celebrations of all kinds.
This November, we proudly began our partnership with the Heard, combining Boxwood Hospitality’s exceptional service with this stunning venue to craft unforgettable events in harmony with nature.
THE ASSEMBLY OAK CLIFF
Perched on a hill in the heart of Oak Cliff, the Oak Cliff Assembly has been a beacon of community and resilience since 1941, evolving from spirited tent revivals to an iconic gathering place with a rich history. Officially recognized as a Historical Landmark in 2009, its legacy includes hosting the Gatlin Brothers and ties to groundbreaking figures like DISD’s first African American teacher. After years of dormancy, Proxy Properties purchased the site in 2022, sparking its revival.
This December, we’re closing out the year by launching our newest partnership with the Assembly, blending modern hospitality with its storied past to reimagine this cherished landmark as a premier event space.

Sharing our expertise on “ How to Throw an Eclipse Party. ” was nothing short of a dream come true. As lifelong fans of this iconic publication, contributing to its pages felt like a full-circle moment for our team.

Whether it’s a stunning celebration at 400 North Ervay, a timeless affair at The Laurel, a romantic day at the Cliff House, or a nature-inspired wedding at The Trinity River Audubon Center, each feature highlights the magic we love bringing to every special day.

We were also featured in the Oak Cliff Advocate this year, where we had the chance to share what makes Boxwood Hospitality tick: our passion for creating unforgettable experiences through exceptional venues, delicious food, and warm hospitality. Of course, no conversation about hosting in Texas is complete without mentioning our favorite margarita—a must-have for any celebration!

Jazz Supper Club
This year, we launched our first public-facing ticketed event series — Jazz Supper Club! Guests were treated to an extraordinary evening of live jazz, expertly crafted cocktails, and a delectable prix-fixe supper, all brought to life by Boxwood Catering.
This swanky, unforgettable experience marked our first foray into hosting events of this kind—and it certainly won’t be our last.
